Max Bullets had stayed top for 24 hours, having beaten Bvumbwe Research on Saturday. Bullets are second on 41 points from the same number of games whereas Changalume Barracks are third with 35 points from 20 games.

In Sunday’s match, both sides started aggressively but goals could not come by in the first15 minutes.

However, Davie Chimkwezule broke the deadlock in the 19th minute with a simple goal. United goalkeeper Madalitso Chindamba messed up things when he advanced towards an approaching aerial ball inside the goal area. He then retreated, allowing Chimkwezule to score to the distaste of his team mates.

A few minutes later, Chindamba was at it again, this time diving in the right direction. But a McPeter Makwale’s harmless looking shot went under him for the second goal.

Elsewhere, Michiru Madrid 2 White Eagles 0, Sparc Hawks 1 BNC Produsak 0, Nyasa United 0 Machinga ADD 2, Prison United 1 Evirom FC 1, Changalume Barracks 2 Be Forward Wanderers Reserves 1, MDF Marine 5 Ndirande Icons 2.
