Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life Fiesta has challenged talented young people from Blantyre to register and take part in the activities marking the event scheduled for Blantyre Youth Centre (BYC) on Saturday and Sunday.

Carlsberg Malawi Limited senior brands manager for non-alcoholic beverages Titha Mbilizi said registration is sought in the areas of fulaye (Mira) and football, adding that this year’s event has also incorporated a fashion challenge to inspire would-be models.

“This time around, Coca-Cola seeks to unearth and promote talent among young people through Kuphaka Life City Takeover. We believe young people should benefit from the brand, which is here to create a platform for them to interact, enjoy and nurture their talents,” she said.

The registration targets individuals, teams and models from Blantyre key zones, among them Ndirande, Soche and Sanjika.

Mbilizi said Coca-Cola wants to give back to the community by investing in youth talent.

For example, to enter into fashion challenge, participants are expected to wear an outfit that has the colours red and white on it.

“We simply want young people to choose their look and style. They do not have to buy or create new clothing, but just being imaginative with what they already have. Any style goes,” said Mbilizi.

Coca-Cola Kuphaka Life is a platform introduced in February last year and seeks to nurture youth talents by bringing them together to interact while enjoying things they like.

Among others, the event encompasses sports, music and digital media sharing. n
