The College of Medicine (CoM) will hold its 16th annual research dissemination conference on October 27 at the college’s campus in Blantyre under the theme ‘Promoting Research for a Healthy Population’.
Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday, CoM’s director of research support centre Dr. Wilson Mandala said during the one-day event, researchers will present preliminary and final results on malaria, HIV and Aids, maternal and child health and non-communicable diseases research.
Mandala said the conference, which is open to the public, will bring together researchers, policy-makers and students.
“This year’s conference comprises various events which include plenary sessions, oral and poster presentations and a prize giving ceremony to the best student poster and oral presentation as a way of encouraging research practice,†he said.
