College offers IT courses to school leavers

John Paul II Leadership and IT Training Institute (JPII Liti) has launched information technology courses for secondary school leavers.

The course is based on the Technical Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education Training Authority (Teveta) curriculum.

JPII Liti marketing director Declare Somers said the aim of the institution is to transform lives.

“Our students study in a supportive, challenging and stimulating environment. All of them are encouraged and supported to develop leadership, entrepreneurial and personal skills.

“A major feature of the college is the way IT training, social enterprise, entrepreneurship and personal growth elements are combined into the curriculum,” he said.

The college offers courses such as fundamentals of computing, graphic design and web development, IT systems support (City and Guilds), diploma in business management and certificate in financial accounting, among others.
