From September 29 to October 3 2013, the Church of Bethsaida Pool International will celebrate 10 years since it was established in Malawi. Paida Mpaso talks to publicity secretary of the church Hosea Phiri on the comme-morations and other issues.
What are the celebrations all about?
We are celebrating 10 years of existence of the Chrissie International Ministries.
Where in Malawi was the ministry first established?
The ministry was founded in 2003 in Blantyre. We started in a tent and within past 10 years God has raised us by giving us our own land where we have built a church, school and other infrastructure. God has also expanded the ministry by extending churches to Mulanje, Chilinga, Phalombe, Ntcheu and Dedza.
What activities will mark the celebrations?
There will be preaching of God’s word, official opening of Blantyre Bethesda Pool Church building, 10th wedding anniversary celebration of the founders of the ministry, 10th anniversary celebration of the ministry and pastors’ ordination.
What do you look forward to achieving in the years to come?
God is so orderly and faithful. He has the right time of doing what he has purposed for his children. He has seen us through all these 10 years. Now time has come for him to take his ministry to another level. We are expecting this to manifest in a special way. The celebrations will run from 29th October to 3rd November 2013. By God’s grace, all those that will join us during this special week will know and realise the real reason God gave birth to this ministry and God will receive all the honour and glory.
How many people are you targeting and from which countries are pastors coming?
Everyone is invited. God has always been on our side. We are so humbled to have senior men and women of God coming from across the nations. We will have apostles, bishops and pastors from America, South Africa, Zambia and Nigeria. By God’s grace, our mother, Apostle Chrissie Chidzaro and her husband have been a blessing to many nations. Wherever they have preached people are willing to attend this celebration. So it is not a small thing.
