The road to the final for Madrid was not easy as they faced stiff competition, especially from the quarter-finals.

On Wednesday, they had to wait for post-match penalties to win 9-8 against Lisanjala United whereas Chinamwali Stars saw off Hardknockers 4-0 the following day.

However, Complex Madrid seem to have assembled a side plastered with talent roped in from Zomba United. But Chinamwali pose a formidable threat as they ooze with confidence to avenge last year’s PIS final 4-3 defeat.

The race for the Golden Boot Award provides an interesting phenomenon as striker of the moment Stanley Mhango of Complex Madrid has 14 goals to his credit whereas Mazunzo Jana for Chinamwali has 10 goals.

Meanwhile, Southern Region Football Committee (SRFC) general secretary Gowa Banda, in an interviewon Thursday, disclosed that PIS finals for all the districts would be held on Saturday and today (Sunday).
