Cori sales and marketing manager Felex Chieza said this when Diamonds officially presented the GOtv Netball Champions League trophy they won recently to their sponsor.

He said they are planning to extend the team’s sponsorship beyond this season having been swayed by the Diamonds’ performance in the just-ended season.

“We are pleased with their performance and they have given us a trophy. At the end of the season we will review everything before announcing our position,” he said.

Chieza appealed to Diamonds not to relax but work hard to win the Presidential Trophy.

“The GOtv title should not be the end, but the start of better things,” he said.

Diamonds captain Carol Mtukule-Ngwira said they will work hard to meet the sponsors’ expectations.

“We know it will be tough, but we will try our best so as not to disappoint the sponsor. We don’t want to lose this sponsorship,” she said.

Mtukule-Ngwira also appealed to fellow players to maintain discipline and avoid becoming big-headed.

Cori gave the Diamonds K4.5 million worth of sponsorship. n
