Countrywide finals on March 1

Top domestic social football event, the Countrywide Car Hire Sports Complex Soccer League finals will take place on March 1 at the College of Medicine Sports Complex, Blantyre.

The complex’s sports officer, Chris Siliya, said defending champions Megabyte face MSB in the final for the K2.5 million competition which started last year.

“The programme will start at 12pm with a third-place game between IndeBank and Old Mutual, then the final,” said Siliya.

“Thereafter, the prize presentation will follow at 5pm with a few remarks from the Sports Complex representative followed by the official sponsor Countrywide Car Hire board chair.”

He added that they expect a huge turn-up at the final of the competition which initially involved 16 teams.
