Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Women Cup goes into quarter-finals in the Central Region this weekend.

According to Central Region Women Football Committee (CRWFC) general secretary, Faggie Kazingantchire, three games will take place on Saturday.

Spinards of Dowa face Kamuzu Barracks while Linga Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) are expected to play against DD Sunshine in Salima.

DM Twinkles of Salima will complete Saturday’s fixture by hosting Lilongwe Stars at Mvera in Dowa.

In the last quarter-final fixture on Sunday, Mpalo of Ntchisi will take on defending champions Skipper FC at Mponela.

“We had thrilling qualifiers and we are expecting to watch other highly contested games during these quarter finals,” said Kazingantchire.

She, however, appealed to the teams to observe discipline during the games.
