CR Presidential volleyball in semis

Four teams on Saturday qualified for semi-finals in the Central Region Presidential Volleyball Cup.

 

 

Spikers, Likuni Hammers, Kamuzu Barracks and Blue Eagles advanced to the semi-finals during games played at the Lilongwe Community Centre ground.

 

Spikers beat Airborne Rangers 3-0 in their last Group A game to finish as leaders of the group with nine points. In the same group, Hammers collected full points with a 3-0 win over Airborne Rangers in to secure second position with six points.

 

In Group B, defending champions Kamuzu Barracks (KB) bagged full points in their last two games. They were awarded full points against Blue Eagles who failed to show up.

 

In the last game, KB beat Calvary Family Church (CFC) 3-0 to finish at the top of the group with nine points.

 

Blue Eagles finished on second with six points.

 

According to the semi-final fixtures, on Saturday, Spikers will face Blue Eagles whereas Likuni Hammers date Kamuzu Barracks.
