Katengeza said that Chilinda resigned as GS on personal grounds.
However, while refuting that he had resigned, Chilinda accused Katengeza of plotting to oust him from the committee.
“He [Chilinda] told us that he had resigned from his post and we wrote the Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) to inform them about the development,” said Katengeza
He said the committee elevated Eddie Kambatuwa, who was then vice-GS, to take the post.
In telephone interview on Tuesday, Chilinda accused Katengeza of trying to monopolise the committee.
“I did not write a resignation letter to the committee. The thing is that he [Katengeza] does not want me to be part of the team. He takes me like a stumbling block because I sometimes question some of the decisions he makes. He wants to control everything,” said Chilinda.
Chilinda said he will follow up the issue with NAM on his alleged resignation.
