The country’s bloc of urban musicians continues to grow at a tremendous pace with the appearance of another promising Afro R & B singer called Dali.
Born Dalitso Nyirenda, the 21-year-old Dali hails from Manjawira in Ntcheu but currently resides in Chilobwe Township, Blantyre. He is famed for hits such as Pa Ochepa Omweyo and Tsemwe.
His style of fusing rhythm and blues makes Dali stand out in the music game. He has also collaborated a number of popular artists such as Gwamba as well as shoot nice music videos.
“Currently, I am finalising work on my debut 15-track album which is being recorded under Bensam Entertainment. The album the singles that I have been releasing in the past,” said Dali.
The artist has worked with a number of producers on his album such as BFB, DJ Sley, Stich Fray, Yesaya and Lulu. He said he was flexible hence working with different producers in order to achieve quality.
“The idea to working with a number of producers is to achieve value considering the fact that there is power in collaboration,” said Dali.
Inspired by Lulu on the local scene, R. Kelly and Usher Raymond on the international map, Dali begun his music career while in Secondary School. Had it not been for music, he would have been working for some company as Information Technology (IT) Specialist.
