Musician Dan Lu’s trip to South Africa and Nigeria last year, where he interacted with stars such as Kcee is not in vain if his improved music performance is anything to go by.

Sweet Banana is Dan Lu’s new masterpiece which rocked Blantyre’s Blue Elephant on Saturday night and bore testimony to his upgraded music graph.

Fans jam-packed the upmarket pub to partake in Dan Lu’ Sweet Banana pre-album launch.

It has been while since Dan Lu, alongside his Rockers Band, performed in Blantyre. And Saturday’s show was worth the wait.

“Since I returned from South Africa and Nigeria I have not interacted with my fans. So, this was it to give them new experience,” said Dan Lu in an interview after the Blue Elephant performance.

From Shupie to Part of Life, Sorry to the trending hit Sweet Banana, Dan Lu gave the audience enough entertainment dosage which kept them on the dance floor.

He said he has upped his game because his fans deserve the best from him.

“I want my fans and Malawians to appreciate that we can make things happen if we just dedicate ourselves. And this is just the beginning,” said Dan Lu.

He added that his music has taken a different direction because he wants to set standards and benefit from it.

“I am not only looking at delivering improved stage work and music, but also benefiting from my sweat. This is the reason why I signed a contract with Sisqo Productions from South Africa which is overseeing my music globally,” said Dan Lu.
