Dan Lu: You can sing in chichewa, but how you present it makes a difference

Afro-pop artist Dan Lu says he plans to launch his fifth coming on December 5 at Robin’s Park in Blantyre before a relaunch at Lilongwe Golf Club.
With four albums up his sleeve, Dan Lu said his stay in South Africa has helped him know more about music in terms of composition and performance.

Since his return from the rainbow country, Dan Lu has made a couple of appearances on stage.
“I now understand that to make it internationally, you do not have to sing in English. You can sing in Chichewa, but how you present it makes a difference,” said Dan Lu.
The artist is featuring different musicians, including Black Missionaries in Tembenuka, Piksy in Losing My Mind and Orga Family in Music Music.

“The album was recorded in South Africa, Zambia and Malawi. I will release a music video on November 1 ahead of the launch,” he said.
To his credit, Dan Lu has four albums: Shupie, Khaze, No Size and So What?
