Blantyre will have the first feel of David Kalilani’s debut album Exodus: The Preview today as the artist is among those participating at this year’s interdenominational Christian Youth-Fest which began on Saturday at Blantyre Baptist Church.

In an interview with Nation on Sunday, Kalilani said he is excited because being his first album, there is a lot to share with fans.

“People should expect to witness depth, energy, and soul bearing on that stage. They should expect to see me perform all my new songs, even the unreleased hidden tracks,” said Kalilani, who refused to be called a celebrity.

He said he has a very special message for the audience.

“I will have a lot of time on my hands to connect, talk and build friendship with those that will be there. This is my passion. I am a friend to those that follow my music. So I am excited about getting to know people after I perform on that stage,” he said.

Youth-Fest is a Christian youth gathering which started in 2006 and it is aimed at reaching young people during the festive season when there are so many other events that are not positive for young people.
