“We have been talking with an agency in Malawi on a possible tour of the country. What we are waiting for is confirmation of the same and the dates,” he said.

The artist said he is overwhelmed with the kind of support he gets from other countries including Malawi.

Said Davido: “We continue to get invitations from different African countries Malawi inclusive. This shows the kind of support I enjoy from these countries. It is something worth noting for my career.”

His manager Kamal Ajiboye also confirmed of an impending Malawi visit.

“The agency we were talking with gave us a date, but unfortunately we are booked for another show. The thing is we have a tight schedule because there are a lot of countries inviting us for shows.

“Therefore, I cannot promise the dates for our tour but definitely it will be in this year that we will visit Malawi. We are happy with the fact that there are people that side who appreciate what Davido does,” explained Ajiboye.

Some of the tracks by Davido, 26, that are popular in Malawi are Gobe, Skelewu and recently Aye.
