Dedza has a gospel group

A Dedza businessperson Gift Edward Chikuse unveiled a 12-strong gospel band with K1.6 million worth of music equipment on Sunday.

Like Chikuse’s shop and recording studio, the music group is called Zaithwa Yahweh.

During the ceremony held at Dedza Living Waters Church, Chikuse said the gospel group is a fulfilment of a pledge he made with God in his childhood.

“As a born-again Christian, I made a covenant with my Creator that I will continue giving towards His work as long as I receive from Him. I felt the band is a good idea because I have great passion for music,” he said.

He says the band will be one of the country’s  best if members remains united.—Fatsani Gunya
