Delivering double justice?

Irate people in Karonga on Sunday torched a vehicle belonging to Anderson Kawajere, 46, after he hit a cyclist near the Chitipa stage at the Boma. Karonga Police spokesperson Enock Livason said Kawajere also hit a pedestrian and a stationary vehicle following the impact. He said police arrested and charged Kawajere with causing death by reckless driving which is contrary to Section 126 of the Road Traffic Act. Livason said Kawajere comes from Suya Village, Traditional Authority Machinjiri in Blantyre and the cyclist, Mattias Mwamlima, came from Mwafilaso Village, Paramount Chief Kyungu in Karonga.
