Defending champions Diamonds have vowed to end Complex Tigresses’ outstanding run in recent competitions when they clash during the Rainbow Paints Southern Region Netball League (SRNL) at Blantyre Youth Centre (BYC) today.
Last season, the two giants settled for a 29-29 draw in the first league clash before Diamonds eventually won the title with a 36-33 triumph during the final encounter to end the season with a single trophy.
During the 2014 season, they met eight times in various competitions with Tigresses winning six times and Diamonds twice.

Tigresses swept almost all the available trophies into their mantelpiece after winning the Airtel Money Championship, Rainbow Paints Netball Series, GOtv Netball Champions League and the Presidential Championships.
“We are going into the game with one thing on our minds; to win at all cost. We have suffered enough at the hands of Tigresses and now it is our turn. Moreover, the match is very crucial considering that, between us, the side that wins in the first round eventually gets the crown at the end of the season,” said Diamonds coach Griffin Saenda.
But Tigresses mentor Peace Chawinga-Kalua, who has just been appointed Malawi Queens head coach, said they will not let Diamonds win a second game in a row.
In other games at BYC today, Thunder Queens will take on Chilomoni Sisters while Gerald Tasaukadala Sisters will face Antonio Sisters before meeting Shizaella Queens. Alliance Capital Sisters are expected to battle it out against Prison Sisters.
