Tawonga Taddja Nkhonjera of Dikamawoko said they resolved to work more with Maskal in his performances.

“We want people to see a different Maskal,” said Nkhonjera.

The crew will be performing at the Blantyre Cultural Centre on Good Friday from 8 pm.

The night, dubbed Afro Music concert, will bring together the likes of Sena vibes star Agoroso, Tereza, Miravicova, Patrick Simakweli and Super DT.

Nkhonjera said the shows aim is to start promoting traditional music and recreate the French Cultural Centre music shows of the 80s.

As a special bonus to the show, there will be a ‘Chichewa Battle’ between poets Tony Khoza and Nyamalikiti Nthiwatiwa.

Tickets are selling at Steers, Doogles and through Nkhonjera on 0991951025.

The night will be spiced up with a cash bar courtesy of Carlsberg Malawi, and patrons will be able to buy barbeque.
