DJ Joy Nathu in BBA tonight
One of Malawi’s renowned DJs, Joy Nathu, better known as Joy the DJ, will be on the Big Brother Hotshots stage this week.
Joy the DJ becomes the first DJ outside FM 101 to play in the house.
FM 101 have been the official radio partner of the continental reality show.
This year, MBC Radio 2 is the official radio partner; hence, Joy’s performance during the housemate’s weekly one hour night party that starts from 9pm.
“It’s a great privilege to be chosen among all Radio 2 DJs to go and play there. We’ve seen many DJs go and play there, but not from my station so, it’s also an opportunity to show what our radio has to offer in terms of skill and quality,” said DJ.
He could not divulge more information about his playlist, but assured Malawians that there will be a few local hits as DJs from other countries such as Zambia and Tanzania have done.
“I am looking forward to providing fun to the housemates as well as everyone who shall be watching and I can’t give out much in terms of my playlist, but they should expect a few surprises,” he stated.
Talking about the DJ equipment, Joy is not worried about any hassles as was the case with the last DJ who went to BBA, but had problems with the turntables.
Joy has been at Radio 2 FM for 10 years and has been playing at clubs since 2000.
