International evangelist of Christ for All Nations (CFAN) Daniel Kolenda says the gospel of Jesus Christ is free; hence, no one should be forced to pay for it.

Kolenda said this last Friday during one of his four-day crusades in Blantyre.

“Jesus Christ whom we preach and follow never charged his services to the people let alone Simon the sorcerer who at the end sought salvation from Jesus Christ.

“Nobody and I repeat nobody should charge for the gospel. It is free. Jesus commanded us to give free as we also received free from God,” said Kolenda.

The evangelist, who took over from retired evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, challenged Malawian clergy not to apply double standards when doing God’s work saying they should not include charms from the witchcraft.

He advised church leaders to be as transparent and accountable to their flock as possible and refrain from making themselves holy than others.

The crusade which started on Thursday, was jointly organised by CFAN and Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM).

During the meetings charms were burnt symbolising the demolishing of the devil’s kingdom while many were prayed for. n
