In a bid to drum more support for the show, Dru Hill has released a video, confirming their show in Malawi.

The 17 seconds video posted on YouTube shows Dru Hill members Mark ‘Sisqó’ Andrews, Larry ‘Jazz’ Anthony, Tamir ‘Nokio’ Ruffin and Tao in a room saying:

“Yeah, we are Dru Hill.  December 12, Malawi, we are going to be at Umodzi Park,” breaks it down Tao while Nokio, repeatedly screams “say it one more time.” Laid back Sisqo and Jazz are also seen and heard screaming “Yeah,” before Tao concludes by saying: “That’s where we are going to be, packed.”

Dru Hill was most popular during the late 1990s, with a repertoire that included R’n’B, soul, hip hop soul and gospel music.

Some of the band’s famous hits include We’re Not Making Love No More, These Are The Times, How Deep Is Your Love and I Love You.

Earlier, Umodzi Park sales and marketing manager, Temwa Kanjadza, said the group brings in a better and exciting package.

“We wanted a very competent package and Dru Hill just qualified because those who know Dru Hill will agree with me that the group knows how to dance on stage and they also sing well and that worked well with our intent,” she said.

Kanjadza said local artists to curtain raise for Dru Hill include Skeffa Chimoto and Veejay Ice.

And in another development, Nigeria’s award winning standup comedian Basket Mouth has confirmed his Malawi tour next month with organizers saying preparations are almost over.

Born Bright Okpocha in Lagos, the comedian took it to social media today to confirm his Malawi performance.

“And its 100% confirmed. Basket Mouth live in Malawi (Bingu International Center December 6, 2015,” he wrote on his official Twitter and Instagram pages.

Q Malewezi of Qoncept Creative said arrangements for the show are almost finalized.

“We are just winding up on our partnerships. We are set on the open acts which are Mbeu Kambuwa, a Malawian comedian who is also the Comedy Central challenger winner in South Africa and we are very excited to have him in Malawi.

We are also excited about Nyali Muzik’s music opening performance whose appearance will come courtesy of Malawi Tourism Council. As you have noticed now, with most of our events now, we are trying to best promote Lilongwe as well as other Malawi tourist destinations,” he said.

According to Malewezi, tickets for the show will be available from Friday, November 13 at usual outlets; Papaya, Ulendo Safaris and Flavours.

Basket Mouth is famous for his joke about life-Two Things Involved: The Circle Of Life.

“This life we live, there are two things involved, either you’re a man or you’re a woman. If you’re a woman, you’re safe but if you’re a man, there are two things involved. Either you’re a civilian or you’re in the military,” and the joke goes on to “death”.
