South African based Malawian rapper Aemo E’face last Wednesday was part of the star-studded television show on SABC One Extension 4, Yo Television production which was a tribute to former president of South Africa and world legend Nelson Mandela,  hours before his birthday.

The 26-year-old, real name Amos Mazinyane, was invited to the show as celebrity guest alongside South Africa’s Kwaito legend Spikiri.

‘’It was an honour to be part of the show which was dedicated to the World legend,” said E’face in an interview with South African journalists.

When invited to the Interview Couch, E’face was highly praised by one of the presenters for inventing his genre of music pop-rap which the presenter said promises a lot for the music world.

The artist was asked to perform freestyle rapping on Mandela and he did not disappoint. He enthralled the presenters when he sang, ‘’you don’t need wings to be an angel. You don’t need reasons to be right, your love makes us all better, you are an angel and hero in our hearts’’.

When asked of what strength he thinks Mandela had during his leadership, without stuttering, E’face said the former president had the power to see tomorrow and today.

After the interview, the artist performed his hit single Midnight Train to Jozi.

‘’My duty as a human being is to do the right thing, not to shame those I love and raise my country’s flag in any way possible’’ said the artist at the end of the programme.

Meanwhile, the artist announced that he will be launching his new single Over my head on South African radios and both SABC Music show Live Amp and Club 808 on ETv in August. However, his first appearance on television in the month will be on August 2, 2013 when he features on ETv’s Shiz Niz programme.
