Venue for the grand finale will be determined by the audience through voting on E- Wallet Facebook page.

“To spice up the grand finale, two evicted contestants will perform during the final show that will also see the final three, backing each other on stage on a song they are supposed to compose, record, shoot a video and later rehearse together between now and January 31. This will be done with the help of professional producer Tapps Bandawe.

The single, in audio and video format, will be out the day after the winner is announced,” said E-Wallet organising chairperson Felix Njawala.

He said the outcome of the winner will be determined by 50 percent of votes and the remainder will be contributed by the judges.

“The idea of shifting the grand finale was to give people ample time so they vote for the winner. Airtel is now on board as sponsor, but we cannot disclose the amount. And this does not mean the prize money will change. We had limited resources which made us not to do certain things like shooting videos of the contestants’ families, among the many others,” explained Njawala.

Meanwhile, voting lines opened on Thursday this week for people to vote for the winner as well as two evicted contestants they want to perform at the final show.
