Parents should take charge and responsibility over their children. Create time to be in the company of your children. Let them share stories of whatever they have seen or learnt from wherever they have been. Parents must learn to have a listening ear, be very attentive and alert to whatever their children are saying.

After a full narration of whatever has been said by them, as a parent you have to give proper advice. You can divide the talk into sessions depending on what you have heard. Express yourself politely but constructively. You should  not be too emotional and end up shouting at your children. If you do, they will never share whatever they encounter when they discover that you get too worked up. To remove from a child’s mind what has been planted by another person takes a lot of patience and you should seek wisdom on how to handle such matters. Otherwise, our children might get spoiled while the people who ought to be responsible for them are watching.

The Bible says you give what you have got. It becomes difficult for children who have been brought up by foster parents to give love to their spouses because they themselves were not shown or given parental love and attention. They become self-centered and lack trust in other people. This makes it difficult for others to stay with them comfortably and peacefully. As a result of this, their future is destroyed.

Letting other people bring up your children has very strong and adverse effects on them (children). This should be avoided at all costs as remedying the ensuing situation is very difficult.

Children, just as adults, are human beings who must be taken care of with love, proper protection and affection. Remember, the Bible says “You reap what you sow”
