Easter volleyball finals replay today
Central Region Volleyball League (CRVL) will hold the replay of the Easter volleyball tournament finals today at Kumudzi Eco- Learning Centre, along Bunda Road in Lilongwe.
The game is between Kamuzu Barracks (KB) and last season league champions, Lilongwe Spikers.
According to CRVL publicity secretary, McGodwin Mangani, the finals ended prematurely on Easter Monday due to impending darkness. Then the teams were tying 2-2.
“We have decided to take the finals back to the same venue this Saturday. The game will start afresh. They will be transport to ferry people from Lilongwe Community Centre hall in the morning,” said Mangani.
The tournament is sponsored David Mkwambisi, owner of both Kumudzi Trust and Eco- Learning Centre at K100 000 (about $238).
On Easter Monday, Kamuzu Barracks Ladies beat CFC Ladies 3-2 to emerge champions in ladies category.
In the youth category, Blue Eagles were the champions after trouncing Nathenje Stars 3-0.
In the senior men category, which will be concluded today, Blue Eagles beat Mipunilo Stars 3-0 in a third place play-off.
