EC accredits 288 voter educators

The Electoral Commission has released names of organisations and individuals it has accredited to conduct civic and voter education for the 2014 tripartite elections.

In its public notice on Wednesday last week, chief elections officer Willie Kalonga said the accreditation has been divided into seven groups of civil society organisations, media and advertising agencies, media houses/organisations, road-show promoters, radio and TV comedians, musicians and drama groups.

“This accreditation is subject to the organisation signing to abide by the code of conduct issued by the Commission. The Commission will soon announce a date and venue when the accreditation certificates will be issued,” said Kalonga.
