One of the country’s rising gospel musicians Eliza Mponya on Sunday launched her Mulolelanji CD/DVD at Robin’s Park with the support of established gospel musicians.
With her powerful voice, Mponya dedicated herself to her live act, which was backed by Malimba Band. She engaged the audience with different music styles ranging from Sena jive to popular South African gospel touch.
Dressed in a long locally-designed dress, Mponya made a mark as another gospel stage queen who is set to make an impact.
She performed tracks from her new album Mulolelanji, including the title track Mulolelanji. Her music reveals a common direction of most gospel musicians who are dwelling much on life issues such as delayed blessings from God such as delays to get married.
Her launch was supported by big names such as Ethel Kamwendo Banda, Thocco Katimba, Favoured Martha and Patience Namadingo, among others. n
