Why is the only song Elli Njuchi’s has produce in 2021, bar a few collaborations that he featured in other artist’s work.

In an interview, the Blantyre-based artist gave little away if the storyline is close to reality.

Elli Njuchi said he will leave the question open to speculation and encouraged his fans to figure out whether the music is a depiction or reality. He also said he is only concerned with whether the fans relate to the song and enjoy it.

“It is growing in music narration. We often want to speak about things we are comfortable with, yet we have so many thoughts that many of us share. As a young artist, these are thoughts I know are shared by many,” he said.

He is a rare gem: Sangie

Having delivered her note to Sangie, Elli Njuchi believes it would be interesting if her ‘crush’ responded, but he says he will leave that to her.

Said the Zitheke maker: “I shared my craft, it is up to her to share hers.” He went on to say he would fancy a collaboration with her, bluntly revealing that he is a big fan and describing her as one of Malawi’s best artists.

From the look of things, Sangie appears has received her ‘love letter’ warmly. In a separate interview the songstress said the idea was creative and interesting. She revealed her counterpart did not tell her he was working on the song..

“He is a rare gem. The idea was executed perfectly. I loved the fact that he talked about Sangie as a person and as an artist. He was able to quote a few of my songs in his lines,” she said.

On a possible response, Sangie was non-committal, opting only to say that “one can never tell”. But the Undibwezere singer revealed a collaboration between them is definitely on the cards.

According to Elli Njuchi, the song was composed in 2019 and has been recorded this year at Red Disk Music by Savage Beats and J Mass.
