Embracing the new year

Listen to this article

I would like to thank the readers who have benefited from the marital lessons featured in this column in 2011 and wish you well as you enter the New Year. I most sincerely thank you for the beautiful feedback.

If you have not been part of the Spiritual Family, remember that you are also the beloved children of God, the plans and programmes of God are always good and He loves and care’s for you. Under God’s guidance, I hope to help more readers in 2012.

In order to achieve success, your family should remain intact and united. To achieve peace and success, forgive and forget when your spouse makes a mistake. The main beneficiary of forgiveness is the one who makes up his or her mind to forgive the other.

Never think of what other people will say or think about you when you take a U-turn in your life. What you go through is best known to yourself and your God. Nobody shares with you the innermost feelings and battles that you encounter when you are alone.

Open your heart to receive from men and women of God – whom God has entrusted with spiritual knowledge and wisdom- for your own benefit. Let them speak to your life and take heed of what they teach you. We all need the word of God to survive and the experiences of others to bring us back in line.

Give all that you have to your spouse; your thoughts, anxieties, joy, worries, time, achievements, resources, love, respect and care and these shall be given back to you in full measure. Give this recipe a shot and experience the results.

I wish you all happiness as you sail through this year as one. Have a happy New Year and embrace it with lots of love, patience and forgiveness for one another.
