Escom finally release Chatsalira

Escom United have finally released winger Ndaziona Chatsalira for a new lease of life at Silver Strikers, of course, with some strings attached.

Escom general secretary Richard Samba on Wednesday confirmed that Chatsalira would join Silver on K1 million (about $4 000) transfer. The Electricians had pegged the player at K3 million (about $12 000).

“We have agreed that in the event of the player being resold to a foreign team, we shall share 50 percent of the transfer fee,” said Samba.

But Escom are yet to release clearance for striker Noel Mkandawire to Civo United. Mkandawire and Chatsalira are among 10 players Escom transfer-listed in a shock pre-season overhaul.

Silver chairperson Dr McDonald Mafuta-Mwale confirmed signing Chatsalira on a three-year deal to add depth to their left-wing where currently Jester Mulima is the only natural player suited for the position.
