Gospel artist Ethel Kamwendo Banda says all is set for the launch of her three albums in November.
In an interview, Ethel said she is set for the triple launch on November 30 at the Bingu International Conference Centre (Bicc) in Lilongwe before taking the albums to Blantyre’s Sunbird Mount Soche on December 7.
“It has taken some time. This has been a time for me to pray deeply about the music. I ask God to give me inspiration to produce music that will change lives, heal the sick and give strength to the weary,” said the Ndi Umboni hitmaker.
Ethel said Moyo Wanga was produced at OPJ Records in South Africa, while her second-born son Peter produced Ndinu Woyera at their home studio while Ndili Pamzere was produced at Joseph Tembo’s Groove Magic Studios.
“I really appreciate that Malawians have supported me as an artist and my fellow musicians all these years. We have festivals, shows and album sales and they have always been on our side. I just wish more corporate citizens joined the fray as it is in other countries,” she said.
Recording for the albums began in 2016 when she was in South Africa.
Tracing her musical roots from the family Kamwendo Brothers Band, Ethel has Uthenga, Amen Yesu Wandimasula, Yesu Amayankha, Sindili Ndekha, Hossanah, Ndiumboni, Ambuye Wazatheka Bwanji, Ndinu Nokha, Zabwino Zonse, Chete and Mwatikondera albums to her credit.
