A research may give clues as to why, just few days after violating Chanco’s sports freedom with a 7-1 humiliation on Sunday, Evirom extended the same misery to Poly at the BAT Ground on Wednesday afternoon.

Taonga Munthali and Harold Zulu, who claimed a brace and a hat-trick respectively against Chanco, were on target against Poly.

It took Munthali barely 20 seconds to head in the opener. He added the second 20 minutes later before completing his hat-trick. Zulu scored the fourth.

Loius Ulaya’s stunning volley in the 44th minute offered Poly some respite.

After break, Evirom made their purpose to trounce the students as Zulu added the fifth from the penalty spot on the 60th minute after Poly defender Joel Kasuzo’s handball on the goal-line.

It was Zulu’s 26th goal in 33 games for Evirom who lead on 75 points. They now just need two more wins to seal their TNM Super League promotion campaign.

Wongani Zulu, Harold’s younger brother, scored the other goals to win it for Evirom, whose coach Paul Kachingwe had predicted a 5-1 win over Poly.
