Exclusive story yields injunction

A source in a story The Nation was working on for ‘Friday Exclusive’ series obtained an injunction on Thursday, effectively restraining the publication and other media houses from running it.

But Nation Publications Limited (NPL) management said it is consulting on the way forward.

Said managing editor Edward Chitsulo: “Our lawyers are working towards discharging the same and readers will be advised accordingly later.”

This is not the first time some sources have blocked NPL or other media houses in the country, especially when they have been contacted for their side of the story to issues in contention.
