Musician Faith Mussa has released a new song Ogode in which he is celebrating friendship.

In an interview, Mussa said he came up with the song while on tour in China with a group of friends from Mafirika Band.

Mussa: This song is basically done by friends

“I have actually kept the song for years not finding a good space to release it,” he said.

Mussa said when he played it to pianist and producer Greciam Mokwena, he agreed to produce it.

“He laid the most amazing piano pieces ever. He has also produced the piano and acoustic versions,” said the artist.

Mussa disclosed that he then got his friends Elvie Ndjeka, a bassist from Zambia, drummer Amos Mlolowa and another friend Leo in London to mix it.

“This song is basically done by friends and it is a huge celebration of that friendship,” he said.

The song goes in part:

“Amakukonda zikakhala zili bwino

Kukusekelera iwe

Amakukonda zikakhala zikuyenda

Kukumwetulira iwe

Bwenzi leni leni udzalidziwa

Bwenzi leni leni

Ukakhala pamavuto

Mnzako weni weni

Udzamudziwa mnzako weni weni

Zikakhala zakupinga”

Mussa said the song will be part of his new project slated for release this year.
