According to FAM chief executive officer Suzgo Nyirenda, the decision was made by the referees subcommittee.

“He has been suspended for six months with effect from November 18 2012 from all football related activities,” said Nyirenda on Wednesday.

The FAM CEO added that during the suspension period, Mtumbula will not be allowed to attend to any game of football or its related activities organised by FAM or any of its affiliates.

“He will also not perform any duties in his capacity as vice-general secretary of NRC,” said Nyirenda.

Both Bullets and Eagles were cleared of any wrong doing. Bullets lost the match 1-0 to bow out of the competition.
