Fame scouting exercise starts

Fashion Edition Malawi (Fame) has started registering models and designers who want to participate in its fashion week later this year.

Fame Fashion Week takes place from September 20 to 26 in Lilongwe at venues to be announced.

“From July 1 to 31, we are registering all models and designers wishing to participate in our fashion week which will take place at three venues in Lilongwe. We are still keeping the venues under wraps until such a time when it is relevant to announce the venues. It will be a surprise to fashionistas,” explained creative director and co-founder Zilanie Nyundo.

“The registration is open to all designers both local and international. On the part of the models, we are working hand in hand with Regal Modelling Agency with all the models who will be selected going to undergo training,” she explained.

She said though the registration is open to all designers, the successful people will be categorised depending on their level of expertise.

Meanwhile, Fame is working on a fashion event for Blantyre fashionistas.
