Mzuzu Fashion Week has gone, but memories will remain forever engraved on people’s minds as Fashion Malawi Edition (Fame) past winners blew off the event on Friday night during a gala dinner.

Neat and stylish describe some of the designs showcased by Fame 2011 winner Clemoh Sato of Za Clemoh from Lilongwe as the main guest designer at the event.

His breath taking designs left an impressive mark on patrons, proving his worth as an international designer who has showcased at Swahili Fashion Week 2011 in Tanzania and Soweto Fashion Week 2012 in South Africa.

The atmosphere at Grand Palace Hotel pool area did justice to his clothing. It was a red carpet event that suited his elegant clothing.

Prior to his showcase, Fame 2015 up-and-coming designer Tawile Kumsinda of Tazma Designs, took her trendsetting clothing to the red carpet.

The 14-year-old Blantyre-based designer, once again, brought to the fore how fashion can be used in entertaining and empowering women.

Other designers for the night, which was the most patronised of the four days, were Sozo Wear, Creative Base, MisK, HomeGrown Clothing, African Print Madness and Judy Fashions.

The event ended on a high note on Saturday where another guest designer from Lilongwe, Blessing Christian of Pink World, showcased Afro-Asian couture.
