Super League sponsors TNM Plc on Wednesday splashed assorted prizes to lucky winners in the first draw of Zampira Promotion.
The draw saw one lucky football fan winning a motorbike. Six fans won K50 000 each while 100 others got K1 000 worth of airtime.
Speaking during the draw, TNM head of marketing Sobhuza Ngwenya said the promotion underscores TNM’s commitment towards football development in the country .
“We are proud to be making dreams of soccer fans in Malawi come to life. Through this promotion, two Malawians stand a chance of flying to next month’s World Cup event in Russia. All this will be made possible through Zampira Promotion which is connecting local fans to world football,” he said.
The 2018 Zampira Promotion will run until the close of the TNM Super League season in December.
In July, one fan will win a trip to Russia to watch the World Cup final while another one will win K1.5 million at the end of the promotion in December.
Ngwenya said the World Cup ticket prize is in line with the 2018/19 Super League theme Living the Dream.
Super League of Malawi (Sulom) treasurer Tiya Somba-Banda, who attended the first draw, thanked TNM for the promotion.
