Favoured Martha launches Musavomereze
Renowned gospel musician Favoured Martha on Sunday launched her Musavomerezein Blantyre and Zomba.
It was a gospel affair at Zomba’s Gymkhana Club on Saturday and Robin’s Park in Blantyre on Sunday when the gospel songbird dazzled the audience with her performance.
In an interview after the Blantyre launch, Favoured Martha said she was delighted with the large turn-up and promised fireworks in Lilongwe this Saturday.
“This is encouraging and I promise to give my best to fans, without their support, I am nothing,” said the artist.
Favoured Martha was elated when an anonymous patron purchased a copy of the CD at K500 000 (US$ 1 111).
The album features tracks such as WondikondaNdinu, YehovaMbusaWanga, Ababa Musavomereze, Amandikonda, NdineWodala, WosungaMoyoand UkoKumwamba.
The launch was supported by gospel artists, including LimbaniSimenti, who is featured in Musavomereze, ThokoKatimba, Ethel Kamwendo-Banda and the Mighty POV.
However, during Sunday’s launch, some people who graced the show complained about the poor ventilation in the hall since the air conditioners were not working.
