FDH Bank plc has partnered Malawi Postal Corporation (MPC) in the provision of banking services through Banki Pakhomo.

Speaking at a briefing on Thursday in Blantyre, FDH Bank plc managing director Elias Ngalande said the partnership will help people in rural areas to access bank services at all MPC outlets the same way they can do at any bank.

“The partnership will facilitate financial inclusion where our customers in rural areas will find it easier to access Banki Pakhomo services as Malawi Postal Corporation has 180 branches close to rural areas across the country,” he said.

MPC acting postmaster general Zacheus Meke commended FDH Bank for partnering with them, saying it will reduce the burden of queuing at the bank.

“The partnership has come at a time MPC is trying to be an enabler by providing all services offered by the bank,” he said.

Meke said the partnership will help save time and is cost-effective as people will not be spending more time in the bank queue or travel long distances to access banking services.
