FDH boost auditors lakeshore conference with K1.5m

FDH Bank Plc on Wednesday handed over K1.5 Million Institute of Internal Auditors Malawi (IIAM) scheduled for 26-29 August 2021 in Mangochi.

This year’s conference will be held under the theme “Internet of things Resilience in turbulent times.

Presenting the cheque, FDH Bank Plc head of internal audit Allans Nkhoma said the bank benefits from the role that internal auditors play in the country.

“Transparency and accountability are one of our core values hence supporting this professional discipline is integral to the function of a financial institution like FDH Bank Plc.

 “The conference itself brings together various key players in the financial sector as well as other relevant and critical sectors of Malawi. It is important to foster such synergy as a catalyst for growth, development and economic empowerment in the country,” he said.

Nkhoma further said that this year’s theme is not only important to the financial management sector but Malawi at large.

“As a country, we need to pool all our efforts to achieve the much-needed growth despite the challenges brought by Covid-19 and other economic challenges,” he said.

IIAM president Ackson Banda hailed FDH plc for the support saying it will go a long way in making this year’s conference a success.

“The Bank has been a great partner and has been supporting us for a long time through these sponsorships. The money we have received today will help us to make this year’s conference a success,” said Banda.
