Flames, Ethiopia match won’t be beamed
Soccer-loving Malawians will not to watch Flames’ 2015 Africa Cup of Nations decisive qualifier on television this evening.
The match is not among the four that will be beamed by SuperSport.
Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBCtv) has also said it will not show the Group B tie.
However, the solace is that soccer fans may follow the proceedings as they unfold in Addis Ababa through live commentaries by MBC and Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) reporters Patrick Simango and Mike Bango respectively.
SuperSport
beamed last Saturday’s match between the Flames and Mali, but they are not beaming any of the Group B matches slated for today, including the high-profile one between Mali and Algeria.
MBC director general Benson Tembo yesterday confirmed that they will not beam the Malawi match.
“It is costly because the rights are going at $50 000 [about K25.3 million], which is quite unaffordable to us.
“But we will broadcast the match on radio,” said Tembo
