Mpingwe Sports Club (MSC) teams Orange, White, Silver and Red have made it into the semi-finals of the FMB 20/20 Cricket Tournament following their victories on Sunday.

AAt the Indian Sports Club (ISC), MSC Orange made 128 runs in 17.4-overs to overcome MSC Grey who made 127 in 20-overs whereas MSC White made 180 runs for three wickets to see off MSC Gold who had 124 runs for nine wickets.

At the MSC, Silver overpowered ISC by 87 runs. They made 157 runs against ISC’s 70 runs all-out. Silver’s Tosif Rustam was outstanding in this game as he made 75 of his team’s runs. MSC Red thrashed MSC Blue by 21 runs. Blue made 125 runs all-out.

Since the 12-team tournament started six years ago, MSC Orange have been the undisputed champions. However, this time around, some of the semi-finalists have vowed to snatch the title. The semi-finals kick-off next Sunday at the ISC.

“This has been an adventurous and exciting season. We are happy that we are now close to winning the title for the first time,” said MSC Silver captain Saeed Limdawala after their victory.
