FMB founder N.G. Anadkat dead

FMB, one of the country’s commercial banks listed on the Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE), has announced the death of its patriarch and founding father N.G. Anadkat.

In a published statement on Sunday, FMB management said Anadkat died on Saturday morning.

“Mr N.G. Anadkat will be fondly remembered for his kindness, love and benevolence. Our deepest condolences go to Mrs. Sushila Anadkat, Hitesh, Alka, Paru and the entire Anadkat family during this period of mourning,” said the statement.

It further said the funeral of the late Anadkat will take place today (Monday).

A funeral procession will leave from Five Mwabvi Road, Namiwawa in Blantyre to the Hindu Crematorium in Limbe where his body will cremated at 3 pm, said the statement.

FMB is primarily a commercial bank and offers a full range of traditional banking services.

FMB also has a 38.43 percent shareholding in Capital Bank Limited, a Botswana registered company which was granted a commercial banking licence by Bank of Botswana.
