Foundation for Promoting Psychology in Africa (FPROPA) last Thursday donated 100 bags of maize, each weighing 50 kilogrammes to patients at Mlambe Hospital in Blantyre.

Speaking after the donation, FPROPA Executive Director, Exford Bester said the donation followed their assessment in most hospitals which revealed acute shortage of food, and that patents were starving.FPROPA

“We got touched to see patients on TB and HIV/AIDS treatments failing to access food required to take before medication. We believe they will make good use of the little we have given them, I hope will not sale it,” he said.

Mlambe Human Resource Manager Eddie Masiya hailed FPROPA for the assistance. He said the assistance will help reduce the food gap  at the facility, and further asked other organisations to emulate FPROPA’s gesture.
