Janice Distributors has offered Blantyre boxing fans free transport to and from the non-title bout between South Africa-based Davie Mazinyane and Limbani Masamba at Gymkhana Club in Zomba on March 2.

Janice Distributors managing director, Justice Katika, who is working with Chibuku Products Limited in promoting the fight using their Miller and Maheu brands, said on Sunday that they have done this to allow more local fans to enjoy the exceptional bout.

Mazinyane, who was the country’s most famous South Africa-based boxer before Isaac ‘Golden Boy’ Chilemba came in the limelight, has challenged Masamba for an eight-round fight after seeing him defeating welterweight champion Alick Mwenda at Motel Paradise in Blantyre last weekend.

“We will provide a truck to pick them from Kamuzu Upper Stadium in Blantyre at 10am on the day of the bout,” said Katika.

He said they will also give out a free bottle of Miller-branded beer or a bottle of Maheu beverage to each person who will pay K1 000 (about $2.94) at the door to watch the fight.

Mazinyane, 29, won bronze at the 2004 Zone V1 Games before he trekked to South Africa.
