Afro-soul musician Agorosso (Lloyd Phaundi) will return from the African Movie Academy Awards held in Yenaogoa, Nigeria a happy man after his soundtrack for the movie The Last Fishing Boat won the Best Achievement in Soundtrack award.
Phaundi left the country together with playwright and movie director Shemu Joyah and actress Flora Suya on Thursday and will return in the country today through Lilongwe as winners.
In a Facebook post on The Last Fishing Boat page Joyah said: “The tickets have come!! ‘The Last Fishing Boat’ team will be flying to Nigeria on Thursday, 18 April 2013 by Ethiopian Airways. The Award ceremony is on 20 April. The team will fly back, hopefully with some awards, on 22 April 2013.”
Indeed, The Last Fishing Boat, Joyah’s second movie, has come back with one award for the artistry of the Nsanje based artist Agorosso. Initialy the film received five nominations for the awards.
