Itâ€™s time for farm produce so put them to good use with Futali.
You will need:
4 medium-sized sweet potatoes or cassava or half a pumpkin, washed and peeled and cut into pieces; pinch of salt 2 oz (60 g) groundnut flour (nsinjiro)
Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. Add the sweet potatoes (or cassava or pumpkin) pieces and cook until almost tender. Drain the water off once they are cooked. Add the peanut flour and salt, and mash everything together. Stir continuously, and continue cooking for a further few minutes until the mixture is almost dry.
